Scrub any value — drag number fields to dial them in

Every number field in zdraw is now a slider: drag left or right to change it, click to type. Shift for fine control, and it never stops at the screen edge.

The fastest way to change a number isn't to type it

Design is iterative. You nudge a wall height, a frame thickness, a sill, a spacing — a hundred small adjustments a session. Selecting a field, clearing it, typing digits and hitting enter is a lot of ceremony for "a bit taller".

So every number input in zdraw is now scrubbable, the way values work in Blender, Figma and After Effects.

Hover, drag, done

Move your cursor over any number field and it turns into a horizontal-resize cursor. Press and drag right to increase, left to decrease. Let go when it looks right. No modifier keys, no mode to enter — it just works on every numeric field in the app: wall heights, frame thickness, sills, panel counts, spacing, texture caps, FOV, the lot.

Click still types

Scrubbing never gets in the way of typing. A plain click focuses the field for keyboard entry exactly as before — dragging only kicks in once you actually move the pointer. So you keep both: drag for quick iteration, type when you know the exact number.

It respects each field

The scrub honours each field's own rules — its step size, minimum and maximum. Drag a field that steps in 50s and it moves in 50s; a field capped at 200 won't go past it. Values land on valid steps, not arbitrary fractions.

Shift for fine control

Holding Shift while dragging slows the scrub down for precise tuning — handy when you're dialling in the last millimetre or two.

It never stops at the screen edge

The subtle detail that makes scrubbing feel right: it doesn't stop when your cursor hits the edge of the screen. Under the hood the pointer is locked during a drag, so you can keep dragging in one direction indefinitely and the value keeps moving. Small windows and edge-docked panels no longer cut a scrub short.

Everywhere, for free

There was no per-field setup — a single mechanism drives every number input across the whole app, current panels and any added later. Open zdraw, hover any value, and drag. Then jump into the tutorial to build something to tune.
